Good housekeeping is fire prevention — lessons from industrial walkthroughs

Blocked exits, oily rags near furnaces, overloaded electrical sockets and paint stored in escape stairwells — walkthroughs reveal the same housekeeping failures across sectors. Fire prevention often costs less than emergency response but requires daily discipline.

Training covers zoning of combustibles, spill control, waste segregation and clear marking of fire equipment. Students at our campuses practice inspection checklists they can adapt to their workplace.

Housekeeping alone cannot replace engineered controls or sprinkler systems, but it removes ignition sources that turn small incidents into headline disasters.
